Inner Worlds - Ewa Hewelt

Kamienica Sztuki / Kashubian Philharmonic – Wejherowo Cultural Centre

Inner Worlds presents a cycle of seven paintings by Ewa Hewelt, exploring emotional tension and introspection through the human figure and the expressive use of color. The exhibition is held at Kamienica Sztuki Gallery in Wejherowo as part of the exhibition program of the  Kashubian Philharmonic – Wejherowo Cultural Centre.

The series Inner Worlds focuses on portrait-based compositions in which the human figure transcends literal representation and becomes a vehicle for psychological states and internal tension. Strong chromatic contrasts, subtle distortions of form, and an expressive painterly gesture construct a visual language grounded in emotional intensity. The works capture moments of suspension between fragmentation and reintegration, revealing the transitional nature of inner experience. Each painting functions as a record of a liminal state — between memory and presence, introspection and confrontation. The exhibition invites the viewer into a space of reflection on vulnerability, tension, and the layered complexity of human emotion.
