“Guiding you to the place your soul already knows.”
EWA HEWELT
Born in 1985 in Poland, based in France, Ewa Hewelt is a contemporary artist whose work serves as a quiet portal into the emotional and spiritual dimensions of the human experience. Her practice explores psychological expressionism and symbolic portraiture, blending bold color with anatomical distortion and intense gaze to capture themes such as trauma, identity, memory, and personal rebirth.
After years of silence, she returned to painting as a way to reconnect with her truth — a rebirth through color, form, and emotion.
Her influences range from the structural curiosity of Leonardo da Vinci and the soul-searching depth of Zdzisław Beksiński to the color sensitivity of Monet and Cézanne.
Working primarily in acrylic and oil on canvas.
