Oil on canvas board
Size: 41 × 33 cm
Size (inches): 16.1 × 13 in

A moment when you are still physically present, but your mind has drifted elsewhere.

In this oil painting, a face emerges from layers of blue, its features dissolving into sweeping brushstrokes and scattered traces of paint. Deep indigo holds parts of the face in place, while lighter blues seem to carry others away. The visible texture of the canvas gives something tangible to this fleeting sense of detachment.
